‘Ndrangheta in Brescia: 12 preventive measures executed and a seizure of over 8.5 million euros. This morning, Thursday, February 13, the military of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza in Brescia launched an important operation against a criminal organization linked to the ‘ndrangheta, under the supervision of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate. Twelve preventive measures were executed, and over 8.5 million euros were seized in the context of an investigation into a complex tax fraud scheme involving transactions exceeding 365 million in the plastics trade.
The authorities also conducted numerous searches in various Italian provinces, including Turin, Verona, and Milan, as well as abroad in Spain and Switzerland. The operation aims to dismantle the illegal activities of the criminal organization active in the Brescia area and to combat fraudulent practices that undermine the legitimate economy.
