Over the past weekend, a significant operation aimed at ensuring a safe nightlife on the Basso Garda involved a joint effort by the Carabinieri of Desenzano del Garda and the local police forces of Sirmione, Lonato del Garda, and Pozzolengo. On the night of Saturday, July 26, the inspections focused on the most frequented nightlife spots, aimed at preventing risky situations for both residents and tourists. During the operation, over one hundred individuals were identified in various public establishments, including bars and nightclubs.
Among the irregularities discovered, a commercial establishment in Lonato del Garda was shut down due to serious hygiene and health violations, with a fine of 3,000 euros imposed by the Anti-Fraud and Health Unit of Brescia. Additionally, a man was reported for drug possession after being intercepted with 150 grams of hashish during a chase. Measures were also taken against disruptive behaviors related to alcohol abuse, along with penalties for possession of light drugs among patrons of the area’s more popular venues.
