In the heart of Lake Garda, the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda has announced the launch of new projects funded by the Non Self-Sufficiency Fund. These interventions are intended to support individuals with severe disabilities or non-self-sufficiency, under measure B2 for the year 2024.
Among the main initiatives, a monthly social voucher of 100 euros stands out, payable for a maximum of 12 months. This contribution is designed to compensate for the need for assistance in daily life and provide intensive support to family members who care for individuals with disabilities. Another important intervention concerns a monthly social voucher of up to 400 euros, aimed at covering the expenses of regularly employed assistance personnel. This contribution can also be requested for a maximum of 12 months. Interested parties can contact the Social Service using the same contacts provided above.
The Municipality has also provided a social voucher aimed at supporting the relational life of minors with disabilities through educational-socializing projects. These projects are aimed at improving the psychophysical well-being of the young people involved. To promote the independent life of individuals with severe disabilities, a monthly allowance of up to 600 euros has been introduced. This financial support is intended for those who wish to pursue their own project of independent living without the help of a family caregiver, instead relying on personally chosen and regularly employed personal assistance.
For all these initiatives, the reference point is always the Social Service of the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda, reachable by phone during the indicated hours: Monday-Friday from 9:00 to 12:30, and on Thursday also from 14:30 to 17:30. The automated switchboard remains active outside office hours.
The announcement represents a concrete response to the needs of the most vulnerable segments of the local population, confirming the city’s commitment to guarantee support and social inclusion through targeted and effective measures.
