A serious incident occurred on the morning of Monday, August 25 in Calcinato, where a 47-year-old mother and her 13-year-old son were struck while crossing the pedestrian crosswalk on Via Matteotti. The accident happened around 10:30 AM when a car, exiting a parking lot, hit the two. Immediately after the impact, several passersby alerted the emergency services, who quickly responded with medical personnel from Bedizzole and the Local Police to manage the situation.
Fortunately, the conditions of both the woman and the boy are not serious; they were transported to the hospital in green code. However, the incident caused traffic disruptions in the center of Calcinato for over an hour, with diversions for drivers along Provincial Road 28 and congestion on secondary roads as well. Authorities are currently investigating to clarify the circumstances of the incident and any potential responsibilities of the driver involved.
