Peschiera del Garda: Man Found Dead in Lake Waters
. This morning, around 9:30 AM, a 40-year-old man of Indian descent was discovered lifeless in the waters of Lake Garda, near Peschiera. The alert was raised when a passerby noticed the body surfacing near the shore and immediately contacted emergency services. The Coast Guard, the Bardolino Fire Brigade, 118 emergency personnel, and law enforcement, including the carabinieri and specialized aquatic police, responded to the scene.
Search efforts were already underway as the man’s disappearance had been reported by a compatriot who was with him on a pedal boat. According to initial accounts, the man may have fallen into the water during the excursion and was unable to resurface. Investigations conducted by the carabinieri aim to clarify the circumstances of the incident, also considering the possibility that the man may have suffered a medical emergency after diving in.
