The 19th National Wine Competition Valtènesi Garda Classico was successfully held, showcasing the excellence of local wines. The event took place during the 73rd Wine Fair of Polpenazze del Garda, which runs until Monday, June 26, and featured the participation of several wineries from the Riviera del Garda Classico. Among the winners, the Delai Agricultural Society of Sergio Delai received the most accolades, earning four diplomas for wines such as the Groppello “Mogrì” and the Valtènesi Chiaretto “Notterosa.” The wineries Franzosi and Scolari also shone, each winning four awards.
The competition highlighted a variety of labels that represent the unique characteristics of the region, with recognitions also going to other companies such as Azienda Agricola Averoldi Francesco and Antica Corte ai Ronchi, confirming the vitality of local wine production. The event was enthusiastically received by local authorities, including Mayor Maria Rosa Avanzini and Juri Pagani, director of the Valtènesi Consortium, emphasizing the importance of quality and sustainability in the region’s viticulture.
