In anticipation of the start of the school year, scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, the Province of Trento has launched an information campaign to encourage families of high school students and vocational training centers to proceed with the payment for the Trentino public transport subscription. The annual fee is set at 20 euros, with the option of free access for the fourth child onwards. This subscription allows unlimited use of all line services, including urban and extra-urban buses and trains within the province, from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026.
The Councillor for Urban Planning, Energy, and Transport, Mattia Gottardi, emphasized the importance of public transport as a preferred means for students to reach their schools. The Province aims to ensure that young people and their families have easy access to connections to local educational centers, thereby promoting the right to education and supporting a more eco-friendly mode of transportation in the area. Families are encouraged to complete the subscription loading at the ticket offices of Trentino Trasporti or Trenitalia in a timely manner before the start of classes.
