Regional Partnership Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Citizens

Start of the agreement and participants
On the end of June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of’ the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed by regional and European funds.
Activities and planned objectives
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Additionally, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will be strengthened.
Goals and social inclusion
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services between the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in the ’ organization and management of activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
