The redevelopment project for the former Casino of Gardone Riviera, led by master pastry chef Iginio Massari, is set to commence. A year after the Massari family obtained a twenty-five-year concession, the contract with the municipality has been officially signed, and work is scheduled to begin in July 2025. The aim of the project is to transform the building into a landmark for catering and event organization, providing exclusive spaces for ceremonies and aperitifs. Nicola Massari emphasized that, despite bureaucratic challenges, they expect to be operational by Easter 2026.
Coinciding with the start of the construction, the beach services adjacent to the former Casino will reopen on June 7, having recently been awarded the Blue Flag. The concessionaire will ensure the cleanliness of public spaces and restrooms, while options for reactivating the bar and sunbed rental services are currently being assessed. The total investment amounts to several million euros, including annual rental costs set at 150,000 euros.
