Two hikers were rescued during the night after becoming stranded in a challenging area on Monte Pizzocolo, at an altitude of 700 meters, in the Ortello locality of Vigole, within the municipality of Toscolano Maderno. The operation began around 9:30 PM and was coordinated by the Valle Sabbia station of the mountain rescue team, which mobilized its squads to reach the two men, also supported by the Fire Brigade.
The rescue operations required technical maneuvers to overcome the difficulties encountered during the recovery. Thanks to the commitment of the operators, the hikers were eventually safely escorted along the trail to the road. The operation concluded around 1 AM with no reports of injuries.
