In Lonato del Garda, on Monday, August 18, 2025, work will commence on the redevelopment of Piazza Corlo, which is expected to last for approximately three weeks. This initial phase of the project, awarded in March 2023 and temporarily suspended to coordinate with other ongoing interventions, will primarily focus on the northern part of the square, on the Brescia side. The modifications will include resurfacing an area of about 648 square meters and replacing the existing roundabout with a new landscaped roundabout, at the center of which a large tree will be planted.
To ensure safety during the public works in Lonato, several traffic modifications will be implemented: the area affected by the construction will be closed to vehicular traffic, while pedestrian access will always remain available. Residents will be able to access the adjacent streets in both directions, but access from Piazza Corlo to the parking area on Via dei Fanti will be restricted. This phase is expected to last approximately 40 days, while the subsequent phase two will involve stone paving on the Verona side and is estimated to take between 60 and 80 days.
