On **May 24**, Arco and **Riva del Garda** will participate in the solidarity campaign “50,000 Shrouds for Gaza” by displaying white sheets on the facades of their respective town halls and inviting citizens to do the same at the windows of their homes. This initiative, which is spreading across Italy, aims to raise public awareness about the tragic situation in Palestine, where over 50,000 people have been killed due to the conflict, including more than 13,000 children. Local administrations emphasize the necessity of not remaining silent in the face of a humanitarian crisis that has also seen one million displaced individuals.
Through this symbolic action, the municipalities intend to honor the memory of the victims and draw attention to the call for an immediate ceasefire and the importance of peace in the world. The white sheets represent not only a gesture of mourning but also a plea for human dignity, ensuring that lost lives are not forgotten and that dialogue can begin to stop the shedding of innocent blood.
