Riva del Garda has renewed the ban on beach games, prohibiting the use of balls and other sports equipment in the areas south of the cycling path, from Punta Lido to the San Nicolò harbor. This measure, already in place in previous years, has been implemented to ensure the safety of bathers, following numerous reports from beachgoers. Complaints primarily concern the disturbances caused to those using the bathing areas and the risks associated with accidental hits from objects thrown during play.
The local administration has emphasized the importance of safeguarding the tranquility of bathers, particularly elderly individuals and families with children. In response to requests for recreational activities, alternative locations have been suggested along the lakeside and in the Miralago area, where ample spaces allow for play without inconveniencing others. The ban aims to preserve a safe and pleasant environment for everyone during the summer season.
