An important announcement has been made regarding security in Riva del Garda, where the local police station will benefit from a significant increase in officers. On Thursday, June 12, during a meeting at the town hall with Mayor Alessio Zanoni, the Trento police chief, Nicola Zupo, announced that starting from June 23, thirteen new officers will be deployed, ten of whom will remain permanently to enhance the presence in the area. Additionally, a 24-hour operational patrol will be activated.
This initiative comes at a time when the city is experiencing an increase in tourist numbers and concerns related to petty crime. Zupo emphasized the particular attention given to Riva del Garda and Rovereto, stating that officers have been specifically assigned to these areas at the expense of other resources in the city of Trento. Mayor Zanoni expressed great satisfaction with this news, highlighting how the new 24-hour patrol represents a valuable safeguard for the safety of both residents and visitors.
