The LacusFilm association has recently completed an important mapping of the films shot along the shores of the lake, presenting a film exhibition titled “Garda Movie: the Lake Garda in 100 Years of Cinema.” This event will take place on June 20 at 5:30 PM at the Civic Library of Riva del Garda, where the participating associations will showcase clips and stories from films that have utilized this picturesque setting. The exhibition, which has already been displayed in Desenzano and Gargnano, features over 60 films by both Italian and foreign directors, highlighting the beauty of the locations through informative panels and photographs.
Riva del Garda has hosted numerous films over the years, helping to create a connection between the territory and the world of cinema. Among the most notable titles are “Noi donne siamo fatte così” featuring Monica Vitti and “La felicità è un sistema complesso,” which have captured the city’s characteristic corners. The exhibition also includes a large geo-localized map of the filming locations, enriched by newspaper articles that discuss the cultural and tourist impact of film productions in the region.
