An attempted robbery occurred at a B&B in Gardone Riviera, where a 45-year-old Moldovan man tried to steal oil and wine. The incident took place during the night between Sunday and Monday, when the man forced open an external box to access the keys to the establishment. Once inside, he ransacked the rooms, managing to take around 20 bottles of “Olio del Garda” and 5 bottles of wine, along with other food items, totaling approximately 500 euros.
The caretaker of the B&B, suspicious of unusual movements, alerted emergency services by calling 112. The Carabinieri from the Salò Company responded quickly and found the thief still inside the building. Despite the man’s attempts to flee and resist the authorities, the Carabinieri arrested him in the act for attempted robbery and resisting a public official. Subsequently, the 45-year-old was transferred to the Brescia prison.
