The safety on Lake Garda is currently in the spotlight due to recent measures announced in Peschiera del Garda by the Vice President of the Veneto Region, Elisa De Berti. During a meeting with representatives from local municipalities and law enforcement, De Berti announced the issuance of an ordinance to regulate tourist navigation, also confirming the allocation of 50,000 euros for emergency services and surveillance dedicated to water users. This initiative aims to ensure greater safety in navigation and swimming, which are essential elements for one of the most popular tourist destinations in Veneto.
This year, compared to previous years, the Region has adopted a more flexible approach, allowing individual municipalities to issue specific regulations based on local characteristics. De Berti emphasized the importance of shared governance that enhances local expertise while ensuring a uniform regional framework. The ultimate goal is to provide clarity and safety not only for residents but also for tourists who choose Lake Garda as their summer destination.
