An important conference will be held in Salò on Saturday, the 14th at 3:30 PM at the I Pini Social Center, titled “Salò, province of Verona?”, as part of the commemorations for the massacre at Piazza Loggia. The event, organized by Arci in memory of Vittorio Zambarda, a victim of the attack, will feature experts such as Davide Conti, Massimo Pisa, and Paolo Morando, who will discuss the connections between Brescia’s neofascism and that of Verona. This meeting takes place against the backdrop of recent judicial developments concerning the ordinovists Marco Toffaloni and Roberto Zorzi.
The conference aims to explore the historical connections between Salò and Verona within the context of the strategy of tension of the 1970s. Historical elements will be presented that attest to the ongoing relationships between these two locations in relation to neofascist subversion. The figure of Silvio Ferrari and other significant events will also be recalled, demonstrating how the dynamics related to the Piazza Loggia massacre have had lasting repercussions in the local political landscape.
