A seminar dedicated to the sustainability of Lake Garda will take place on Saturday, March 22, in Salò, as part of the Sustainability Festival. The meeting, scheduled for 9:45 AM at the Salòtto della Cultura in the library, will address the need for a climate change adaptation plan, with particular reference to issues encountered in recent years, such as droughts and landslides that have affected the area. The event aims to stimulate a dialogue on how to tackle these challenges through local actions inspired by global thinking.
During the seminar, experts will discuss international experiences and strategies adopted in major European cities to promote climate resilience. Among the speakers are Luigi Del Prete, Davide Sigurtà, and Camilla Bianchi, who will present concrete cases and useful tools to ensure the sustainability of the area, including the importance of biodiversity and water resource management—crucial topics also for the Isola di San Biagio, a symbol of the climate change emergency in the Manerba del Garda area.
