They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines affiliated with the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, fire brigade, or municipal police.
