Scammers Impersonate Police in Garda Area, Warns Carabinieri

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing magazine subscriptions from the force.

They are not military officers, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the financial police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines unrelated to law enforcement agencies.
