Scammers Pose as Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

Pretending to be Carabinieri, they contact hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, firefighters, or municipal guards.

Recognizing scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.
