Gargnano, August 11, 2024 – A “miraculous” catch has captured the attention of tourists at Lake Garda, with a trout weighing over seven kilograms caught at dawn in the nets of the Dominici family, a historic dynasty of professional fishermen. The specimen, precisely weighed at seven kilograms and four hundred grams, represents a significant find during a time characterized by the depletion of fish species.
Although it is not a record catch (the highest is 13 kilograms and 200 grams), the fish was purchased by a local restaurateur to be served to his guests, demonstrating that the lake’s aquatic life continues to astonish. The Dominici family upholds a fishing tradition passed down through generations, contributing to the region’s culinary culture.
