Drug Bust in Sirmione: Two Albanian Nationals Arrested. The drug trafficking activities conducted by two Albanian men were interrupted by the Carabinieri of the Desenzano del Garda Company, assisted by their colleagues from Sirmione, during an operation carried out in recent days. The two individuals, who had been under observation for weeks due to thorough investigations, were stopped and arrested on charges of drug possession with intent to distribute. A search conducted at the suspects’ residence led to the seizure of approximately 100 grams of cocaine, 45 grams of hashish divided into 14 doses, as well as tools used for packaging and a cash sum of 750 euros.
Law enforcement agencies believe that the narcotics were intended for the local market, with possible connections to other areas of the Lower Garda. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the origin of the drugs and to identify any broader networks involved in the trafficking.
