A robbery attempt occurred in recent days at a supermarket in Sirmione, where a 27-year-old Indian citizen, who was in Italy illegally, was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile in Desenzano del Garda. The man is accused of stealing various alcoholic beverages and food items while trying to leave the store without paying. When a security guard attempted to stop him, the young man reacted by assaulting him. Fortunately, the security guard sustained only minor injuries and received medical assistance.
Following the intervention of the military, the stolen goods were recovered and returned to the supermarket. The 27-year-old, already known to law enforcement for previous offenses, was taken to prison in Brescia after the validation of his arrest in a direct trial. Authorities continue to monitor the situation to ensure safety in the area.
