A Master of Everyday Life
Robert Doisneau (1912-1994) is recognized as one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century. His images captured Parisian life with a unique and poetic perspective. He described himself as a “fisherman of images,” skillfully capturing the essence of everyday life through photographs that tell stories and evoke emotions.
“All’imperfetto dell’obiettivo,” published in 1989, retraces his career with a style that reflects the joy of his photographs. Through anecdotes and personal memories, the text provides a glimpse into his professional life, enriched by encounters with emblematic figures of the French cultural scene, such as Pablo Picasso and Jacques Prévert.
