A near tragedy occurred in Sirmione on October 18, when a young woman in her thirties jumped into the lake near the Scaliger Castle. After displaying signs of distress, she evaded the attention of the staff from Sirmione Servizi and plunged into the water, causing moments of panic among those present.
Fortunately, a staff member immediately jumped in to save her, assisted by a fisherman and a hotelier who was in a boat. The young woman was rescued and subsequently transported to the emergency room by the Red Cross, which responded alongside the local police.
