A student from the Don Milani Institute in Montichiari has qualified for the upcoming Individual Mathematics Olympics. Vittoria Lazzeroni, a student in the 5A class of the Liceo, will participate in the national finals to be held in Cesenatico in May.

The young student has passed several selection stages to reach the final. After passing the first phase at the school in December, she faced the provincial phase in February at the Catholic University of Brescia. In this competition, the top 100 students in the province participated, with only 12 spots available for the national finals. Vittoria managed to secure one of these spots and is now preparing for the important challenge.

During the school year, Vittoria also had the opportunity to participate in two stages organized by the Golgi, Calini, Copernico, and Leonardo high schools. During these stages, taught by university professors who have won multiple medals at national and international mathematics Olympics, qualified students were able to deepen their problem-solving techniques in various areas of mathematics.

But that’s not all: Vittoria has also qualified for another important mathematics competition, the International Mathematics Games at Bocconi University in Milan. After passing the first phase at the school in March, she faced further selection at the Leonardo high school in Brescia. In this competition, only three spots were available for the national finals, and Vittoria managed to secure one of these spots.

So, on May 25th, Vittoria will participate in the national finals of the International Mathematics Games at Bocconi University. The top performers will then have the opportunity to participate in the international finals to be held in August in Paris.
