The fourth edition of “Frantoi aperti” has concluded with great success, an event conceived by the Apt Garda Dolomiti that celebrates the extra virgin olive oil of Trentino Garda. This event witnessed massive participation, with completely sold-out events and extraordinary attendance from various Italian regions and Germany.

A Rich Program of Activities

The event offered a diverse program that attracted hundreds of visitors, many of whom came from Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, and South Tyrol. Among the activities offered were masterclasses, show cooking, guided tours, and gourmet tasting paths. Approximately 400 people participated in pre-booked experiences at local olive mills.

The olive mills involved in this edition included Acetaia del balsamico trentino, Agraria Riva del Garda, agriturismo Tenuta Maso Bòtes, Brioleum, Domus Olivae Olio Cru, frantoio Bertamini, and Madonna delle Vittorie. These establishments opened their doors to visitors, providing an immersive experience in the region’s olive-growing tradition. Participants were able to observe the process of olive harvesting and the production of the local “green gold.”

The Olive-Growing Trail

Thanks to favorable weather conditions, many visitors also participated in a guided walk along the “Olive Trail.” This seven-kilometer thematic path winds through the olive grove of Arco and was officially inaugurated on November 2, coinciding with the event. The trail features fourteen interactive educational installations that narrate the history of olive growing in Trentino Garda, immersing participants in breathtaking landscapes.

An Ever-More-Recognized Event

“The numbers from the fourth edition speak for themselves,” stated Silvio Rigatti, president of the Apt. “The event has now become a staple of autumn in Trentino Garda and demonstrates the high level of interest in our food and wine products.” The event received significant media coverage on major national news programs such as Tg1, Tg2, and Tg5.

“Frantoi aperti” is part of the “Month of Taste,” a series dedicated to autumn food and wine events that will conclude on the weekend of November 9 and 10 with the “Festa della noce” in Cavrasto. This event will focus on the Bleggio walnut, recognized as a Slow Food Presidio.
