The 43rd Meeting del Garda has come to a close, a prestigious regatta that saw the participation of over eight hundred sailors from forty-three different nations. The event, held in Riva del Garda, marked a highlight of the competitive season for the Fraglia Vela Riva. During the three final races, Jesper Karlsen dominated among the Juniors, securing first place with a lead of forty-two points, while Lucas Christensen emerged victorious among the Cadets.
In addition to the individual competitions, the Meeting also awarded the Foletti Prize to Danish sailor Sarah Frier Haslund as the best Junior of 2014. Furthermore, Fraglia Vela Riva received the ITAS Trophy for the best cumulative placement, thanks to the 743 points accumulated by local athletes. This event not only celebrated sporting excellence but also strengthened international ties within the sailing community.
