The Switch Grand Prix took place in Campione del Garda from May 23 to 25, 2025, marking the start of the Italian sailing regatta circuit. Under the auspices of the Italian Sailing Federation and in collaboration with the Italian Switch Class, the event featured highly competitive crews who competed in ten thrilling races, thanks to ideal wind conditions. Matteo Celon secured first place, surpassing Mattia Cesana, while the third podium spot went to the English sailor Finley Dickinson.
In the women’s category, Alessia Dubbini triumphed over Ireland’s Elysa O’Leary. The competition attracted several athletes from the Ilca National Team and generated great enthusiasm among participants and the attending audience. The awards ceremony took place at the Univela sailing club, accompanied by an aperitif and evening entertainment, making this first leg of the championship a memorable event for all sailing enthusiasts.
