The new 2025-2026 season of the Teatro Sociale in Castiglione delle Stiviere has been unveiled, featuring a program that reaffirms its commitment to offering high-quality performances that blend innovation with tradition. The lineup includes drama, music, opera, and ballet, showcasing some of the most renowned artists from both national and international stages. The season will kick off on October 21 with the performance of “Magnifica presenza” by Ferzan Ozpetek. Statements from the Administration The Mayor, Enrico Volpi, expressed his satisfaction: “It is with pleasure and excitement that I announce the new season of the Teatro Sociale in Castiglione delle Stiviere; it has been a long-awaited event of great interest for the passionate audience of our theater, coming from the city and surrounding areas, who increasingly appreciate our artistic offerings.” Echoing his sentiments, the Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Massimo Lucchetti, emphasized the importance of culture as a central element for the community. He also announced a significant technical investment for the venue: “This year, the stage will be equipped with a new scenic rigging system that will enhance technical quality; this is a clear sign of our Administration’s commitment to investing in a venue that is dear to the community.” The Artistic Program The Artistic Director, M° Stefano Maffizzoni, outlined the details of the programming. For drama, the stage will feature prominent names such as Claudio Bisio in “La mia vita raccontata male”, Amanda Sandrelli in “Vicini di casa”, and the duo Vittoria Belvedere and Cesare Bocci in “Indovina chi viene a cena”. Additionally, there will be a performance of “Le nostre donne” with Luca Bizzarri and the much-anticipated return of I Legnanesi with their new comedy “Promessa d’amore”. Classical music will feature a special highlight on November 8 with a recital by the world-renowned pianist Ivo Pogorelich, performing works by Ludwig van Beethoven. The opera selection includes Giuseppe Verdi’s “Rigoletto”, while the operetta will present “Al Cavallino Bianco” by Ralph Benatzky. The program will be completed by classical ballet, featuring the Russian Classical Ballet in “La bella addormentata” set to the music of Tchaikovsky. There will be assistance available at the theater on September 30 (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM) and October 1 (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM) for those needing help with online purchases using credit cards. Subscribers from the previous season will have the opportunity to exercise their right of first refusal on September 27 and 28, 2025. Tickets for individual performances will go on sale starting October 10, 2025, also on the Vivaticket platform. Any remaining tickets will be available at the theater box office 30 minutes before the start of each event. Prices for individual tickets range from €25.00 for the stalls and boxes to €15.00 for the gallery, with discounts available for those under 18 and for schools.
