On Sunday, November 3rd, the parish theater of Dro will host the highly anticipated show “Il Gran Ventriloquini,” an event that marks the opening of the “Teatro a gonfie vele” festival. This performance, produced by the Madame Rebiné company, promises to enchant audiences of all ages with a blend of magic and ventriloquism.

An Artist in Decline

“Il Gran Ventriloquini” tells the story of an artist who, despite his decline and his ability to tell only bad jokes, finds new life through his puppets. Through virtuosity and laughter, the show addresses important themes such as friendship and democratic dialogue within groups. In 2021, it received the Emilio Vassalli Award for its innovative exploration of a technique often considered outdated: ventriloquism.

Show Details

The performance will begin at 4:30 PM and is aimed at audiences aged 4 and up. Tickets are available for €4 and can be purchased at the theater box office one hour before the show or in advance on the dedicated website.

Festival “Teatro a Gonfie Vele”

The seventeenth edition of the festival is organized by the six municipalities of Alto Garda: Nago-Torbole, Riva del Garda, Arco, Dro, Ledro, and Tenno. The event is carried out in collaboration with the Trentino Theater Coordination and under the artistic direction of the Bottega Buffa Circovacanti company from Trento.

Upcoming Events in the Festival

The festival will continue with other unmissable shows:

  • November 24: Bottega Buffa Circo Vacanti presents “Clownerentola” at the cultural center of Locca (Ledro).
  • December 1: “Pinocchio, a true lie” at the Don Bosco theater (Tenno).
  • December 15: “Silver Nose” at the Don Bosco theater (Riva del Garda).
  • January 12: “Beauty and the Beast” at the auditorium of the San Gabriele Oratory (Arco).
