A couple of thieves, originally from Romania and residing in Bologna, were arrested in Limone del Garda while posing as tourists on vacation with their two teenage children. The pair, a 49-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, committed thefts in two local stores, stealing non-essential food items, alcoholic beverages, and personal care products worth a total of 550 euros.
After carrying out the thefts, the couple attempted to flee from the hotel where they were staying, taking towels and bottles of water with them. Their escape came to an end when their car failed to stop at a police checkpoint and was subsequently intercepted by the carabinieri. The arrest was validated, and the children were temporarily placed in the care of a family acquaintance.
