A cloudy day on Saturday, May 3rd, saw a massive influx of tourists and residents to the Upper Garda, with long traffic jams reported on the SS45bis. The most critical stretches were between Salò, Gardone Riviera, and Limone sul Garda, where vehicles piled up while waiting to reach the beaches of Lake Garda.
The traffic situation tested the patience of drivers, who hoped to arrive as soon as possible to enjoy the natural beauty and lakeside promenade of Brescia during the May Day holiday. As is the case during every holiday, the Gardesana road was particularly congested, making transit in the area quite challenging.
