A tragic incident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, July 31, along the Crazidei path, which connects the summit of Sat to Riva del Garda. A 29-year-old German hiker, part of a group of four peers, fell approximately two hundred meters while descending after completing the Ferrata dell’Amicizia. The call to the Emergency Services number 112 was made by his companions around 3:00 PM, prompting an immediate response from the helicopter and Mountain Rescue, who arrived on the scene to provide assistance.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff and rescuers, the doctor could only confirm the man’s death. After obtaining clearance from the relevant authorities, the body was airlifted to Riva del Garda. The hiker’s companions, visibly in shock, were assisted and taken to a safer location before being retrieved by the helicopter.
