A sudden fit of rage led a thirty-year-old man to stab his father multiple times, putting his life at risk. The tragedy took place at the mother’s house in Pai di Torri del Benaco. The thirty-year-old, who currently resides in a nursing home in Bussolengo, left the facility and hitchhiked to his mother’s residence.
When the mother saw her son’s agitated state, she called her ex-husband for help. The man immediately rushed to try and calm his son, but the situation escalated once he arrived at his ex-wife’s house. The young man violently attacked his father, first punching him and then stabbing him with a knife.
The stabs grazed the father’s eye and lung, but by pure chance, they were not fatal. The carabinieri intervened at the scene and arrested the young man, who had attempted to hide in a garden near his mother’s house. He was then taken to the psychiatric ward at the Bussolengo hospital.
The father was transported to the hospital, and fortunately, his condition is not serious. After receiving treatment from healthcare workers, he was discharged and can return home.
The mayor of Torri del Benaco, Stefano Nicotra, commented on the shock caused by this serious incident, expressing support for the young man’s family and hoping that he can receive the necessary care.
