An exciting new development for history enthusiasts has been introduced at the Underground Archaeological Space in Trento, where since June 14, virtual reality headsets are available to explore the ancient Roman city of Tridentum. This initiative, part of the “Tridentum VR” project, has been realized by the Municipality’s Culture and Tourism Office in collaboration with the Archaeological Heritage Office. Visitors can now immerse themselves in a detailed reconstruction of four significant sites from the Roman era, including the Underground Archaeological Space itself and Porta Veronensis.
The experience is included in the admission fee to the site and is available during the hours of 10 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 5 PM. Headsets are not recommended for children under eight years old and for individuals with sensory impairments. The Underground Archaeological Space, open from Tuesday to Sunday, houses important artifacts from Roman Trento, providing a unique opportunity to understand local history through an immersive journey through time.
