A surge in registrations marks the 8th Sprint Triathlon of Salò, scheduled for Sunday, May 25. With 616 athletes set to compete, this number surpasses the previous record of 615 participants recorded in 2023. The entrants come from various countries, including Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain, and Switzerland, indicating a growing interest in this sporting event that promises to be particularly crowded. The weather conditions are expected to be sunny, with temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius and water at 18 degrees.
The competition will kick off at 1 PM with a 750-meter swimming segment in the Gulf of Salò, starting from the “Rive beach.” Athletes will then tackle a 20 km cycling course and conclude with a 5 km run through the historic center of the town, finishing in Piazza Serenissima. To ensure safety during the event, navigation in the Gulf will be suspended from 12 PM to 3 PM.
