Salò and Sirmione officially established a twinning between their respective Youth City Councils on Saturday, March 29, at the Sala dei Provveditori in Salò. This meeting marked a first step towards the creation of shared projects and initiatives, focusing on crucial themes such as the environment, culture, sustainable tourism, and active citizenship. The Youth City Councils, composed of young people aged 15 to 20, aim to foster a sense of participation in community life and to raise awareness of the dynamics of local institutions.
During the event, a parchment was signed to formalize the mutual commitment to collaborate in the future. Significant moments included the posting of messages on the Tree of Kindness, the appointment of the Kindness Ambassador to promote values of respect and solidarity, as well as a free visit to the Mu.Sa. and an educational workshop organized in collaboration with the Fondazione Opera Pia Laicale and the Istituto Lodroniano. Mayor Cagnini and Councillor Merigo emphasized the importance of joint efforts among organizations to tackle future challenges, expressing gratitude to the teachers and volunteers involved in the initiative.
