An episode of vandalism occurred on Wednesday, March 19, affecting several holiday homes in Desenzano del Garda, all managed by the same agency. During the night, unknown individuals removed the National Identification Code (Cin) plaques from the intercoms of three properties located on Via Castello and Via Annunciata, leaving two other properties untouched. Francesca Franchi, the property manager of the involved agency, expressed concern over the criteria chosen by the vandals and has already informed the relevant authorities through an official communication.
The replacement of the missing Cins was carried out promptly to avoid penalties, as the code is mandatory for tourist accommodations and must be displayed externally. This is not the first instance of vandalism in the area; similar incidents have been recorded in the past. The Cin, introduced at the beginning of 2025, represents a further step in the regulation of short-term rentals and both hotel and non-hotel accommodations.
