Via Crucis in Gardone Riviera: celebration of the gift of blood
In Gardone Riviera, on Wednesday, April 16 at 8:30 PM, a Via Crucis will be held, organized by the Avis of Salò in collaboration with the local parish, dedicated to blood donors. This event, titled “Via Lucis avisina,” emphasizes the importance of blood donation in meeting healthcare needs and celebrates the altruistic gesture of donors, comparing each drop of donated blood to the sacrifice of Christ on Calvary. The ceremony will take place along the lakeside and will be led by Don Angelo Olivetti, with the participation of the Avis sections from the surrounding Gardesano area.
The path of the Via Crucis will be enhanced by sculptures from artist Mauro Bernardi and will include reflections inspired by the life of Vietnamese Cardinal Văn Thuận and Mother Teresa. This initiative represents a moment of faith and awareness regarding blood donation, highlighting how the gift of oneself can transform pain into love and contribute to the lives of others.
