The Vittoriale degli Italiani, located in Gardone Riviera, has reaffirmed its status as the most visited museum in Brescia for 2024, recording a total of 303,126 visitors. This monument, dedicated to the memory of Gabriele d’Annunzio and overlooking the lake, has outperformed other museums in the province, including the Civic Museums of Art and History of Brescia, which secured second place with 217,657 visitors. The overall ranking of museums in the province recorded a total of 704,819 entries, highlighting the cultural and touristic significance of the Vittoriale.
The Councillor for Culture, Francesca Caruso, emphasized how the province manages to combine international excellence with local museums that tell the stories of the area, from the lake to the mountains. She also highlighted the commitment to ensuring accessibility to exhibitions through initiatives such as the Museum Subscription, which offers free access to significant events in various Brescia museums.
