Weather alert on Lake Garda: heavy rainfall and strong winds expected. Today, Thursday, April 17, the Civil Protection has issued a yellow weather alert for hydrogeological risk in the Lake Garda area due to intense precipitation and strong winds that began blowing last night. According to forecasts from the Lombardy Meteorological Center, irregular rainfall is expected during the first part of the day, accompanied by a significant strengthening of the eastern winds, with gusts potentially reaching 60-80 km/h in many areas.
The areas most affected by the alert include the Po Valley and foothills, partially extending to the Garda region and Val Camonica. Particular attention is advised for the morning hours, where localized gusts of up to 100 km/h are anticipated in the medium plains. A gradual decrease in wind intensity is expected by the afternoon and evening. Therefore, caution is recommended to ensure public safety during this period of bad weather.
