In recent months, the population of roe deer has been drastically reduced, with carcasses found in various areas and reports from residents expressing concern for their safety. Investigations have identified several dogs involved, belonging to private owners who leave them unattended or free in their yards, fostering predatory behavior that endangers not only wildlife but also people.
In response to this critical situation, the Municipality of Arco has initiated an action plan to raise awareness among dog owners and install informative signs. Additionally, forest wardens are expected to conduct patrols in the area to monitor the situation and ensure the protection of wildlife.
