Salò’s mayor has issued an ordinance restricting access to the Salò 2 shopping center following a fire on Monday evening that caused minor intoxications among the owners of a business inside. The order, effective until revoked, mandates thorough cleaning, environmental remediation, and safety inspections, including a structural safety certificate by a qualified professional, as per Fire Brigade directives.

Union organizations Filcams Cgil and Nidil Cgil have raised concerns over the management of cleanup operations, criticizing the access of workers for remediation despite the center being closed and safety verification pending. They also questioned the deployment of workers from different provinces without specialized teams, highlighting safety risks during the ongoing recovery efforts.
