Festa dello Sport 13th Edition Honors Local Athletes and Clubs
In a crowded council chamber, in the presence of Mayor Sigurtà, Councillor Tagliani, and the president of the Consulta sportiva Novellini, the 13th edition of the Festa dello sport took place. Among the guests were the provincial representative of Coni Redolfini, the president of the referees Passarotti, the secretary of the Figc Gandi, and the mountaineer from Castiglione, De Stefani.
Opening speeches and event objectives
After the mayor’s greetings, Councillor Tagliani reiterated the educational goals of sport and emphasized the attention given to children and schools, recalling the numerous projects carried out to involve students and institutions.
Following brief encouraging remarks from other guests, there was a ceremony for awarding athletes.
Award ceremonies for athletes and sports clubs
The athletes recognized by sports clubs received a plaque: among them Mujic Semiz (A.S. Gazebo/Spaziocasa), Cristian Beschi (A.T. Tamburello), Marlene Faustini (Basket Castiglione), Paolo Campostrini (Cai), Gisella Castillo Rosario (Camas), Vincenzo Finardi (Billiard Center Scacco Matto), Massimo Migliorelli (Cicli Rodella Scott), Mauro Bozzoli (Club Dart Bresman), Massimo Bellinghini (Amatori bocce), Angela Perboni (G.S. Bike 96), Stefano Savani (Podisti Castiglionesi), Roberta Cauzzi (Sci Club), Renato Signorini (National Shooting), Cristian Nodari (F.C. Castiglione Junior), and Paolo Chiozzini (U.S. Savoia).
Twenty-five clubs were awarded with a diploma, including the state high school Francesco Gonzaga, which received a silver medal at the student tambourine championships.
Special recognitions
Special diplomas went to sport doctors Portioli and Mistani, to associations that provided assistance during the events, and to individuals distinguished for their diligent participation in sporting activities.
A special recognition was given to Andrea Gervasoni as an emerging referee from Castiglione, and to the Mondolandia center.
Finally, an award was presented to Don Marino Barbieri for the activities of the children from Castello.
