Alleanza Nazionale Opposes Monte Baldo National Park Proposal
Too many safeguarding restrictions and few benefits for residents. With this underlying reason, Alleanza Nazionale rejects the proposal, initiated with a bill at the Senate, for the Monte Baldo national park.
Alleanza Nazionale’s stance and interventions
Massimo Giorgetti explicitly emphasized this point, speaking alongside the parliamentarian of An Alberto Giorgetti and the mountain policies assessor of the Province, Marco Truzzoli, at a meeting with the population of Caprino, promoted by the Alleanza Nazionale club presided over by Alberto Scala and by the Baldo Community councillor, Fabio Beltrame. The meeting focused on the issue of the national park.
“The Monte Baldo does not absolutely need a park to protect the environment,” clarified regional public works assessor Marco Truzzoli. “Since designated state-owned areas already exist.”
Opinion on the park and local resources
Adding a park to all this would be nothing more than creating “an administrative behemoth difficult to manage, with a minimum cost of one billion and heavily bureaucratized.” Therefore, Giorgetti firmly opposes what would only be “a garden for neighbors,” meaning benefiting lake tourism.
Addressing the issue of resources, which are unlikely to come through the establishment of a park, the regional assessor noted that “the more vulnerable municipalities such as San Zeno, Ferrara, and Brentino Belluno are already included in European support programs, with the possibility of accessing the 1.6 billion euros that will be made available by the region over the next six years.”
