Cantalago Event, Summer Festival & Sports Fairs Shine in Piazza XXVI April

On Saturday, in Piazza XXVI Aprile, the Cantalago event takes place: “This is the fourth consecutive year that we are organizing this event,” explains the events councilor Gaetano Pasetto. “Cantalago is a spectacle that can engage people of all ages. The organizers have made significant efforts to enrich the show with high-artistical value animations: dance performances, cabaret acts, hosts of great fame. Nonetheless, music and songs will always be the main focus.”

Pasetto’s agenda also includes the Summer Festival from August 16 to 26: “I am preparing, in collaboration with the agriculture and commerce departments, the Pro loco, and the culture department, a series of events that will complement the traditional peach exhibition,” he explains. “A marquee will be set up in Piazzale Vittorio Veneto to host performances and food stands. The schedule of shows is still being finalized. Meanwhile, it has already been confirmed that on Saturday, August 25, an opera will be performed in the square, featuring Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca.”

Sports and Cultural Events

Among the confirmed events for the upcoming season is the leisure trade fair, which was held a few weeks ago in the fruit and vegetable market area: “This event will be repeated. The first edition provided valuable insights to make the next one more successful. For the organization of the second trade fair, sporting demonstrations will be showcased, involving entities and associations that promote various sports disciplines. It is planned to combine this event with the traditional sports festival and the equestrian gathering of horses and riders, which every year attracts numerous enthusiasts.”

“There is also the possibility of enhancing the program with a cycling rally, races, and demonstrations of trial and BMX biking, in collaboration with the Ciclomania sports group of Gianni Bonini. Contacts will be made with associations involved in vintage cars and motorcycles. The goal is to offer a non-stop schedule for an entire weekend, including evening shows.”

There are 3,600 square meters of covered area, over ten thousand square meters outdoors, and a parking lot for one thousand cars.
