Hollywood Nightclub Celebrates Art, Innovation, and New Roles in Italian Nightlife
Hollywood, the well-known nightclub in Bardolino on Lake Garda, celebrated yesterday three individuals who have, in various ways, made history in modern discotheques. They are Giampaolo Marconi, the owner of the venue; Gianni Fabbri, the patron of «Paradiso», a former prominent figure in Rimini’s disco-dance scene and Italian nightlife; and Caterina Musciarelli, art director of numerous nightclubs, including some of the most famous such as Sesto Senso Club and Fura.
On the occasion of this triple celebration, the first edition of «Nudo d’autore» took place — an event demonstrating how to combine art and entertainment in discotheques. During the event, which will continue until tomorrow, a group of creatives presented an unprecedented art exhibition titled «Il corpo in mostra» (The Body on Display), highlighting their ability to conceive performances for the night crowd.
Innovation and New Professional Roles in Nightlife
The design of discotheques is constantly evolving to attract the maximum possible clientele: thus, new professional figures are needed, along with fresh ideas. According to recent research (source Archshowp), around 200,000 people work in the Italian entertainment sector, with over half involved in artistic roles, from DJs and performers to art directors, communications staff, Pierre (bouncer/security personnel), and costume designers.
And it is precisely Hollywood that officially established the Officina delle Idee, a sort of laboratory capable of designing and producing events of every kind.
